Title IX: Information for Faculty

What is Title IX?

Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in all educational institutions receiving federal funding. This includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, and gender-based relationship violence and stalking.

The Title IX website offers information to community members affected by sexual harassment or any other form of sexual violence, regardless of whether any formal administrative or criminal process is initiated.
